Today’s reason is a good one. I myself am guilty of thinking this and I am amazed at the people I come across (both friends and family) that is their own worst enemy by limiting their true potential. I am a firm believer that EVERYONE has the ability and smarts to accomplish great things in their lives.
Have you ever been part of a conversation with someone and you are mesmerized by their level of intelligence and knowledge about a specific subject.
Do You wish you had their knowledge? Are you envious of the smarts they possess?
When you speak with others who have an increased amount of knowledge you instantly think that this person is naturally smart…you’re wrong!
Behind every person is most likely more struggles than you can ever imagine. They’ve thrown things against the wall, given up on several occasions, felt every emotion a human being can, and have experience more valleys than hilltops.
Personally I have experienced this valley of frustration and struggle more than once in my life. I would consider myself an expert level in Excel. Others might be in awe at the knowledge I have but what they don’t see is the years of struggles I had to go through during my 51 years of life to gain the knowledge I have today.
Success is an emotional journey. Just because you don’t possess a certain amount of knowledge to start with doesn’t mean you can’t ever obtain it.
What success journey are you on…or better yet…what success journey are you missing out on because you don’t think you have the smarts to do it; therefore, you are not taking action.
Sincerely,
Tim Allen
