Wouldn’t it be great if your travel experiences could help fund your next trip?

The travel industry took a huge hit during the Covid19 pandemic. However, it’s predicted that traveling will start to increase again during 2022. If you’re planning a trip this year, Why not write about it and make some extra cash?

You don’t have to travel to distant shores to write a travel article. There are readers all over the world who’d be interested to read about where you live. Try to look at your hometown through the eyes of a tourist, and you might even find inspiration in your own backyard.

I’ve compiled a list of travel websites that pay between $20 to $1,000 per article. I’ve also included a short description of each website, rate of pay, and submission details.

Practical Wanderlust is a travel blog read by millions. It’s aimed at childless adults who wish to travel on a budget, but in a responsible way. They are actively seeking humorous, unique, and informative articles about travel.

Alternatively, you can email a draft as a shared Google Doc, or create a shared Google Drive folder that includes your photos. They have strict submission guidelines so it’s best to give them a thorough read before you submit.

Horizon Guides is a UK-based travel website that’s looking for in-depth travel guides and long-form features. They focus on providing essential travel information for people who are planning extraordinary travel experiences. Their writers are a combination of professional journalists and destination-based experts.
