Wizardopolis School of Wizardry
Dragons. Hard to live with, hard to live without.

If you remember, Hagrid, the Hogwarts groundskeeper in the Harry Potter series had a deep love for Dragons and went to great lengths to acquire an illegal egg to raise up from a hatchling.
Once hatched, you quickly learned Why Dragons were banned. This adorable (to Hagrid) bundle of fire-breathing power could lay waste to a house with a hiccup.
As they grow to maturity, if that fire breath isn’t checked they can lay waste to your entire school or town.
Fire brings warmth and light. Harnessed effectively, fire advanced civilization even more than the invention of the wheel. It warms our houses, lights are evenings, cooks our food. Sometimes this burning power can be used to cauterize what is decayed and make a path for new growth.
We all have Dragon fire within us. We all have this primordial physical energy. It can express itself as anger, or impatience, or laser beam directness. It isn’t warm and cuddly. It is primal and awe-inspiring. And if left unchecked it can burn down your house, your relationships, your job, your place in your community.
Seems too dangerous to work with, right? What was Hagrid thinking?
He was thinking what we can all think. I can be smart with this power and use it to make my life and the world a more beautiful place.
But in order to do that, you must learn how to channel the Dragon energy. There are five primary Dragon eggs. Each hatches a different Dragon that requires its own special handling.
THE YELLOW DRAGON
Yellow Eggs hatch a Fear Dragon.
Feeling afraid? Fear Dragon is on the prowl. It can be hard to catch your Fear Dragon as it flies the fastest. But if you stick with it you may find out what your Fear Dragon wants and help your Dragon get it.
Fear Dragon tries to scare you away from doing things, especially new things. It’s trying to keep you safe. It’s just going about it in a fiery anxious way.
Dragon Lore says Action trains Fear. Take action on what your Fear Dragon is avoiding.
THE RED DRAGON
Red Eggs hatch an Angry Dragon.
Feeling angry? Angry Dragon is on the prowl. It is especially hard to talk to your Angry Dragon as it roars the loudest. But if you stick with it you may find out what your Angry Dragon wants and help your Dragon get it.
While the Fear Dragon tries to keep YOU from doing things, Angry Dragon tries to stop OTHERS from doing things. It’s trying to protect you. It’s just going about it in a fiery rampaging manner.
Dragon Lore says that Movement trains Anger. Walk, run, or dance with your Dragon every day to channel its fire.
THE PINK DRAGON
Pink Eggs hatch a Shame Dragon.
Feeling ashamed? Shame Dragon is on the prowl. It takes great sensitivity to talk to your Shame Dragon as this is your Dragon that is the most prickly about being seen and heard.
While Angry Dragon tries to stop others from doing things, the Shame Dragon tries to keep you away from others. It’s trying to protect you. It’s just going about it in a fiery creepy crawly way.
Dragon Lore says that Love tames Shame. Tell your Dragon everything you love about it every time it raises its scaly head.
THE GREEN DRAGON
Green Eggs hatch a Jealous Dragon.
Feeling Jealous? Jealous Dragon is on the prowl. Jealous Dragon is so green with envy about someone that it has a hard time thinking about anything else.
While the Shame Dragon tries to keep you away from others, the Jealous Dragon thinks others have what you want. It’s trying to protect you. It’s just going about it in a fiery creepy crabby way.
Dragon Lore says that Connection tames Jealousy. Be sure to socialize your Dragon with many visits to the Dragon Park to make friends with fellow Dragons.
THE ORANGE DRAGON
Orange Eggs hatch a Procrastination Dragon.
Feeling like avoiding an important task before you? Procrastination Dragon is on the prowl.
Procrastination Dragon likes to put things off for another day (or two… or ten.) Often Procrastination Dragon is trying to avoid negative feelings by delaying a stressful task (often a Procrastination Dragon is a perfectionist.)
It’s trying to protect you. It’s just going about it in a fiery silly way.
Dragon Lore says that Focus tames Procrastination. Break down what you need to do in the smallest step possible and do it. Make what needs doing simpler to do than avoid.
Train your Dragon every day.
Your Dragons contain unimagined power. A well-trained Dragon will lead you to Treasure beyond your wildest dreams and help you Write the World.
