I am putting myself up to a challenge, simply it’s going to be a change in my lifestyle. I have lately been feeling very lethargic and tired all the time, I figured it’s the lack of proper physical activities and also a lot of junk food, like literal junk. I feel myself getting fat again.
For the first time ever I am putting myself out in the world like this. As it has mostly been a personal battle, with me filling up my diaries to take out the frustration of not being able to reach my goal weight or that fitness goal I started with in my mind last year in October.
I went to gym religiously for 3 months and I saw noticeable changes and I was actually feeling very good, mentally, physically everything. What makes me sad and angry on myself is the effort I put in building myself, waking up at 5 or 6 every morning, having healthy breakfast and meals for as long as I could, all to go to utter waste, for my lack of discipline and a perpetual hunger. Being a huge foodie sucks sometimes, more so when I don’t find anything, anything at all tasting bad…..lol people say it’s a good thing about my that I’m not a fussy eater, but in all honesty that’s my biggest drawback sometimes I feel.
I have decided to go on a 30 day transformation cycle, no I am not joining a gym and don’t promise to gym for 2 times a day.
Here’s what I plan to do.
Every day I will wake up at 05:00 am , offer fajr namaz and get dressed to go cycling to the park here approxiametly 6–7 km away from our house, It’s called CV garden or Chatruvilas garden, it’s a huge beautiful park. With a jogging trail of approx 5 kms , green patches , trees, monkeys , lotus ponds and so many ducks. It overlooks an artificial lake, ‘Kishor Sagar Talab’ or KST.
It’s currently undergoing renovation and beautification as is the rest of Kota, so I am pretty excited to be going there. After cycling upto there and crossing 1 flyover , I will cover the park twice as I will jog on the trail , followed by a skipping session, outside of the park , the juice vendors sell all kinds of healthy elixirs, which I will drink to my hearts content. Then cycle my way back to my home. Have a healthy hearty breakfast.
Now my meals and diet would make a drastic change in both timings an content. For starters I usually have breakfast around 10:00–10:30, which pushes back all the other meals, hence , I will have my breakfast at 08:00–08:30 , lunch at 1 and dinner at 7 , which will give me 3 hours before going to bed after having my dinner.
Cutting back
What I plan to cut back on and eliminate completely from my diet will be sugar in all processed forms , chai , coffee , breads , ice cream , chocolates , cakes. Roti made of wheat or all sort of rotis , white rice , noodles , maggie , momos , rolls. Anything that comes out of a packet will not reach my lips.
I start this challenge on 16th of June , i.e. from tomorrow , to 16th of July. To keep myself motivated I will at the end of each day write how my day went and what exercise I incorporated for that day.
