Fleet residents Colin and Eileen Gilliatt opened their garden to the public to raise money for Myelona blood cancer.
The very successful event, which was supported by six helpers and plenty of home bakers, raised £235 through the sale of cakes and plants.
More donations were made afterwards.
A wildflower meadow, 16 Jacquemonti birches, a woodland area and recently expanded pond are all tended to by Colin, whilst garden partiers were lucky enough to witness a fledgling kestrel.
Mrs Gilliatt was pleased with the event’s success.
She said: “We hope to open the garden once a year in the future for the National Garden Scheme and other causes.”
Gardens at 4 Salem Street and Millstone House in Gosberton are supporting the garden scheme by opening this Sunday.
