These words I write while in the midst of my own chaos
To live is to suffer.
I can imagine you are no newbie to pain and heartache yourself.
Let us face it, life sucks sometimes.
With so much advice on this topic, I do not proclaim to have some magical quick-fix solutions.
Instead, I only have an honest perspective from real raw emotions and experience to back it up.
I will start by giving you a little insight into my world and Why I feel qualified to speak on pain and suffering and succeed despite it.
I hope that you find comfort knowing that you are not alone.
Yes, even people who perceive themselves as self-help creators, healers, and spiritual mentors get stuck in the same dread of shit that you may find yourself.
So before floating off into despair, please continue reading.
If you read former articles of mine, you probably know a little about my suffering.
As a child, I always struggled with low-self- esteem.
My self-esteem battle turned into obsessive people-pleasing, a lack of boundaries, perfectionism, and a never-ending streak of bad choices.
At age Eighteen, I met a thirty-year-old devil (I’m sure he was), got pregnant, fell ill, and ended up losing my baby at seven months pregnant.
Three days later, I would be humiliated and beaten within inches of my own life at the hands of the thirty-year-old for no apparent reason.
I would go on to have more children later down the line, but a quiet addiction to pain pills and alcohol turned into a roar behind the scenes-
bringing attention to itself in the eyes of my family — and child protective services (don’t worry, my babies and I are great now.)
Relationship after religion after therapist after antidepressants and all the self-help modalities a person could try, chronic depression seemed like a promised fate.
Turns out,
years of laying around in bed, obsessive stress, and not getting appropriate exercise, water, and food will take a toll on a person’s health.
Chronic back pain and a weakened immune system seemed to pursue me.
I put myself in a hole with student loans, only to realize that I never really wanted to go to school in the first place.
(I always knew I wanted to write and create)
While in the meantime, starting and stopping so many relationships, I almost lost hope in humanity.
(I’m almost to the end of my background story, I promise)
Despite gaining so much weight at a rapid speed and losing teeth (because of gum disease and pregnancy,) I would finally start my career as a writer and entrepreneur, putting myself out there for the whole world to see my flaws.
(At this time, I also found out loyalty and support among family and friends were conditional as it only went so far. (Jealousy is a hell of a drug)
What is my point in giving you this brief rundown?
I want you to know that I am not a stranger to chaos.
In fact, most people who dedicated themselves to helping others have probably had their share of chaos.
How you react and what you do while up against it is what makes the difference.
So, what is my solution?
How can you triumph over the chaos and come out on the other side without losing heart, dignity, and mind?
The Answer:
To thrive amid chaos, you need only to shift your energetic frequency. When you are in the middle of a storm, you do not dwell in misery or sorrow, but try to pass through it as quickly as possible.
A bit of a flow state if you will.
Just as negativity flowed to you, you need to allow it to flow out of you. In short, you want to become an energetic match for something better.
But how do you do it?
To shift your energetic frequency, flowing from your current chaos to a more desired situation, you have to do three things:
Accept, visualize, maintain,
The first step out of the dark is to accept the dark you are in
We stay in our bullshit for far longer than we need to because we do not know how to change our energetic frequency.
The first thing you have to do is accept where you are.
When you accept your situation wholeheartedly, you eliminate all resistance.
Eliminating resistance is the first rule in becoming an energetic match for something better, flowing from one end of the spectrum to the next.
Acceptance + eliminated resistance = a positive flow state.
Make room for the life, situation, or circumstance that you desire.
By choosing acceptance, you loosen the grip of the storm.
It becomes just another experience with no energetic attachment to you.
Winning the lottery is no different than losing your big toe, they are all experiences.
And no experience can stay attached to you when you are no longer an energetic match to it.
The less resistance we have to the negative the easier it can flow out for something better to flow in.
On the contrary, if we do NOT accept the uncomfortable situation, we will get overwhelmed and focused on the current problem. All of our energy will be channeled in the obstacles in front of us, creating more obstacles.
Remember this:
Wherever attention goes, energy flows. Until you honestly accept your conditions for what it is, you will not be able to release them.
No acceptance+ No release= No flow
Everything vibrates, and your emotions connect to your vibration. You attract and repel based on your dominant emotion.
How do you know when you are not accepting your chaos?
You will be frustrated, fearful, worried, anxious, and angry.
Your mind will focus on the things you lack and how nothing is going right for you.
You will be resistant to it, which only creates more resistance.
“Like energy attracts like energy”
Your thoughts drive your emotions, and your emotions create your vibration. Your vibration dictates what you are an energetic match to.
Accepting your situation is the first step in shifting your vibration
As the changes of the seasons, this too shall pass.
The second step is to identify the desired outcome
Once you have decided to accept your chaos, you leave room for change to happen naturally.
Turn your intention to the desired outcome.
What do you want to happen differently?
You must have a clear goal of the things you wish to change. What is it that you want to overcome?
Some common chaos we experience are
- Health issues
- Financial problems
- Relationships
- Housing
- Emotional issues/ Mental health
- Internal Conflicts
- Addiction
As you ponder on these things, do so from a perspective of what you want to see change and not your current circumstances
(Remember energy flows where attention goes)
Reflecting on the shitty circumstances will keep you in a low mood which keeps you in the same conditions you are trying to escape.
Contemplating life and the things you want moving forward will give instantly raise your vibration to attract those things.
Gratitude and motivation are the two most powerful emotions that you can have. Gratitude and motivation cause an instant shift in vibrational frequency as well as motivation to take inspired action.
By visualizing the desired outcome, you turn your focus from the dark situation you may be facing into a mindset and spirit of hope, motivation, and gratitude.
The last thing to do is maintain your vibration
When you accept the chaotic situation that you are in and spend your time visualizing the outcome you desire, confidence and high vibes will naturally follow.
You are actively changing your energetic frequency to match that of a more abundant and thriving life.
The first two steps are about raising your vibration and allowing a flow state. The Last step is all about maintaining an elevated vibration.
An inspired action is not always taking a physical step in the material world.
More often than not, the best inspired action is to is maintain our high vibrational state and trust that better things are coming your way (it is easier said than done, but not impossible and usually takes consistent effort and practice to get to this point.)
- Visualization
- Practicing gratitude
- Manifesting
- Scripting
- Affirmations
- Working on your mental health
- Contemplating the lessons you have learned.
- Taking ownership of the part that you played in your circumstances
Becoming a vibrational match by way of intent and positive emotion is far more important than any steps you take in the physical world.
It’s tempting, I get it.
We are creatures of habit, and we are used to feeling in control.
Nothing happens in the physical world without first happening in the energetic realm. Thus, your current circumstances (good or bad) are a result of your dominant thought patterns from the past.
There will always be a solution to any problem you may have. But when your mind becomes tainted with anxiety, fear, and anger, you are instantly back to a state of resistance.
Remain in flow.
