A popular event in the Sea Mills calendar has returned for the first time in three years. The Flower and Craft Show is the latest incarnation of an event which has been held in the area since the 1920s.
With its usual setting closed, the event instead took place at the Methodist Church on the Square.
Sea Mills was designed as a garden suburb and almost every resident has access to their own green space. The show is an opportunity for friendly competition in children’s art, knitting, embroidery, photography, cakes, fruit, vegetables and, of course, flowers.
Speaking during the event, organiser and local resident Jane Wilshire said: “We’ve had such lovely comments today, one lady called it a lovely, honest, local show.”
