I am slowly learning how to celebrate what I already have, how to digest more rather than consume more, how to apply more rather than just gather more information without any application or purpose.
Embracing slow living has taught me a lot of lessons. It changed my perception, shifted my desires to more important things, and my focus inward rather than outward.
I learned how to listen to silence rather than the noise, how to be okay with not being okay, and most importantly, how to see the joy in the smallest thing like breathing, seeing, and being.
My life became so much richer and freer. I can literally feel the lightness in me. I can feel that inner guidance flowing in harmony with me.
One of the best exercises to embrace slowness is taking a long walk without listening to podcasts or audiobooks. Walk slower than you usually walk. Notice what you are thinking, feeling, experiencing, seeing, smelling, touching, and hearing. Open all your senses with curiosity. Welcome the emptiness. Welcome that joy of slowness. Forget about the time and just walk one step after another.
Tell me what will you do today to embrace slowness?
