But when my friend came to visit me in Hawaii and asked me if I wanted to go for a shark dive, you better believe I said yes.
After all, call me crazy, but my fear of living a life of regret is greater than my fear of sharks. #truestory
What stood out to me the most wasn’t the initial jump into shark infested waters…
But it was when you settled into the water…
Hearing nothing but silence when you go under…
And watching over your shoulders as sharks swim around you and underneath you.
There’s a tranquility, serenity, and majestic energy to it all.
And it was in the silence, that it hit me…
4 years ago, when I was depressed, unfulfilled, and searching for more in my full time marketing job, I couldn’t even imagine that I’d be where I am today…
It was 9am and instead of settling in at my desk for my 9–5 job, mentally preparing for my first anxiety attack of the day…
I was settling into the clear, warm ocean water + mentally preparing for the sharks that are swimming around me.
In that moment, I took a deep breath and was in awe of how much I’ve transformed my life.
Leaving my 9–5 to follow my dreams of starting my own business and leaving the comfort of New York to follow my dreams of living by the ocean… I’m still in awe everyday for how much has changed in such a short period of time.
No matter where you are or what challenge you’re currently facing, remember…
It’s only temporary.
Every moment is a chance to start again.
You too can transform your life + experience the richness of life, whatever that means for you.
To hear more about what I learned by swimming with sharks (& you better believe I’m doing it again… just don’t tell my mom!) check out the podcast episode here.
Little insider tip: life gets good when you lead with soul.
