You probably spent $10 on coffee at Starbucks today. But if I asked you to make $10 online, you’d probably complain that it’s impossible.

Most people think there’s an entry fee for making their first $10 online. But if you can follow a few steps, I guarantee you’ll make your first $10 within the next month.

Starting a blog is by far the easiest way to get started on making some money online. A blog allows you to build a personal brand while consistently creating content that will drive traffic and sales of your website or product(s). Do this correctly, and you could be earning hundreds per day from just one blog alone.

It doesn’t need to be anything fancy either. As long as it isn’t repulsive, it should work fine for now.

If you can’t afford a blog right now, there are plenty of free options such as Tumblr, Medium, and WordPress.com that will allow you to post basic content for nothing.

Even though this isn’t the easiest way to make money online, it’s still possible if done correctly. The key is to put out quality content regularly and pull in a steady audience that starts to trust your judgment over time. This means creating videos that other people would enjoy watching even if they didn’t care about what you were selling at all.

Do this by picking a niche first and going from there.

Here’s an example — If you love animals, perhaps starting a YouTube channel focused exclusively on pet videos could be significant. You could then begin to educate your audience with tips that pertain to their interests while also sharing relevant product recommendations along the way.

Fiverr is an online service that allows you to offer your services at the price of $5 per gig. So if you’re good, this could be a very quick and easy way to make some money online by taking on opportunities such as blogging, editing pictures/videos, or even general consulting for smaller companies who want help with social media strategy.

The key here is to obviously pick something you’re good at and do it until you can’t anymore. Then, once people start trusting your work and leaving positive reviews, perhaps consider charging more than $5 if others will benefit from what you have to offer too!

It’s not uncommon for website owners to offer a survey panel to their visitors in return for a small fee, cash, or gift card. For example, if you visit the McDonald’s website, they might ask you to complete a quick survey on your previous purchase (and vice versa).

This is pretty great since it only takes about 5–10 minutes of your time and will likely be something very close to what you’ve already done anyway. You can use this opportunity to make some money while also providing some feedback to these companies, which helps them design better products in the future.

Again, here’s an example — if you spent $5 at McDonald’s today, then provide them with simple feedback by answering two questions about Why or why not you made your purchase there. Once you’re done, you can then request payment from the company, and they’ll usually pay anywhere from $0.50 — $1 per completed survey.

It’s important to mention that this is not technically making money on the side like the other four examples above. Still, it doesn’t hurt to bring in some extra cash by simply selling some of your old things through an online website such as eBay or Craigslist.

All you need to do here is figure out what items others would want (even if you don’t) and list them for sale at a low price while also offering free shipping wherever possible (to attract more buyers).

Since most people are buying these days with the intent to resell, your items must be priced low enough for people to make a profit on them in the future (while also making you enough money in the process).

The next time someone makes an offer on your item, accept and ship/meet up with them when they’re ready to buy.

Since most of the above options take commitment or physical work, this one is definitely at the bottom of my list. That being said, if done right, then selling old items online could potentially become a nice side-hustle over time!

It’s not an easy way to make $10 just yet, though, so don’t rely on this as your only source of income ;)

This is pretty self-explanatory. All you need to do here is upload some of your best pictures to websites such as Shutterstock, Dreamstime, or even Google’s new photo service in return for a small commission each time one of your images gets bought!

The key here is to make sure that you optimize the description/caption of each photo for them to appear near the top when people are searching through them (which increases their chances of being bought).

Several large blogging networks, including Blogger and Medium, are actively looking for talented writers to grow their platform. That being said, often, smaller companies will come along that are interested in consulting for them over social media marketing (and other forms of online advertisement) for a flat rate or hourly wage.

The key here is to publish your work on these large blogging networks (via guest posts) and if they like what you provide them.

There you have it! Seven excellent options for making your first $10 online that only require around 5–10 minutes of your time.
