Cheshire Garden Club Beauty Spot Of The Year

[ad_1]

The Cheshire Garden Club’s Beauty Spot of the Year, established in 1966, is selected from the current year’s Beauty Spot of the Month winners from April through September. The property selected exemplifies excellence in choice of plantings and maintenance throughout the year. The winner is presented with a traveling silver bowl engraved with their name that they are allowed to keep for one year, as well as an engraved marble plaque which is theirs to keep. This year’s awardees were the August recipients Sandy and Bill Cunningham, of 81 Wood Pond Road, whose stunning front property was described in The Cheshire Herald’s Aug. 11 issue. Club President Inge Venus (at left) is shown with the engraved traveling silver bowl next to Sandy while Club Treasurer Carol Goertz is shown with the engraved marble plaque next to Bill. The Club congratulates and thanks the winners for helping beautify our town.
