Sandwell’s garden waste bin collections are taking a break for winter from Monday 5 December.

This means that the last collections of 2022 will take place during the weeks commencing 21 November or 28 November, depending on the fortnightly schedule for your area and will restart early Spring 2023.

Residents can check their collection dates online at www.sandwell.gov.uk/binday

Residents are reminded that garden waste can be stored in garden waste bins until collections restart or taken to the Household Recycling Centre (the tip) in Oldbury where this will be recycled. Alternatively, it can be placed on your compost heap or bagged up ready to be emptied into your garden waste bin when collections commence in 2023.

If you plan on going to the tip, you need to book an appointment online at www.sandwell.gov.uk/tip
