Essex diva Gemma Collins loves both animals and expensive things, so she’s combined the two and taken delivery of a massive wooden sculpture of an Asian mother elephant, which will go perfectly in her back garden

Former TOWIE star Gemma Collins has taken delivery of a huge and unusual feature for her garden.
She shared the image of the stunning wooden sculpture with her 2.2 million followers on Instagram and declared: “I love her!” Her caption read:
“Always give to the animals. I’m so happy to welcome my beautiful matriarch elephant. Her eyes are just stunning and magical. PLEASE be kind to animals.”
She then credited the charity campaign she is supporting. CoExistence is a series of art events from Elephant Family, a group started by Mark Shand, who was the brother of Camilla. Duchess of Cornwall.
In May this year, a herd of these life-sized wooden elephants were placed in various sites around London. They looked as if they were crossing the Mall in front of Buckingham Palace.
The CoExistence story teaches us about how animals like elephants as well as tigers and orang-utans share our planet, and how a reduction in human activity throughout the pandemic has had a positive effect on wildlife around the world.
It’s not clear if Gemma has bought the huge, heavy sculpture, which has an average height of about 7.5 feet, and is around 12 feet wide, just like a mother elephant would be in Asia.
But if she has paid for it, it will have cost her a whopping £22,000.
Gemma was clearly delighted with the new addition to her home and gushed on social media: “She is so beautiful and I’m so happy to have her in my garden amongst the topiary trees.”

The Essex businesswoman and reality star, 40, is well known for her love of animals – and has also made a few large purchases recently, including spending more than £1,400 on a goldleaf-covered steak dinner in a trendy new restaurant.
She then said she felt so guilty she donated bagfuls of her worn bras to charity.
Her other big splurges have included staying for several nights at the swanky Dorchester Hotel in London and buying an “incredibly rare” Land Rover Defender car for £45,000.

Gemma recently reunited with her old flame Rami Hawash and has revealed the couple are hoping to have a baby.
They’ve already chosen a name for a girl, Blossom, after Japanese blossom trees. Gemma said: “Me and Mother Nature are at one, because I’m hoping to get pregnant soon.
She added: “Maybe I should find a place in the forest where I can give birth to my Mother Nature’s child.”
