After she and Jorge split, Anfisa took the time to focus on herself, and figure out what she wanted from her new life in the U.S. Her weight loss has a lot to do with her career change.
Many 90 Day Fiancé stars see themselves onscreen, and then decide to go on weight loss journeys. Some opt for surgery, or diet and exercise. Certain franchise celebs leverage their new looks, showing off their transformations on other 90 Day seasons or spin-offs. However, Anfisa went another route. She publicly slammed TLC, saying that they exploited her by paying her less than she deserved, and confirmed that she would not be participating in another season. Instead, Anfisa gained confidence from her weight loss, and preferred to focus on her education and career.
Anfisa not only lost weight, but trained hard to become a bodybuilder. Her weight loss is central to her career, as she is an Instagram influencer, and an ambassador for an athletic wear brand. The 90 Day Fiancé star also made the bold decision to go to school, starting at community college, and eventually graduating from UC Irvine in 2022, with honors. This year, Anfisa also became a U.S. citizen. While Anfisa and Jorge are no longer together, they both appear to be living their best lives apart. Anfisa’s weight loss allowed her to pursue her dreams, pay her way through college, and start a fulfilling life in America.
