After the birth of her baby boy Gade, Amy weighed 270 pounds.
In an April 2021 Instagram post, she shared before and after photos of herself following gastric band surgery.
She wrote on the photos next to her husband that she once wore a size 5XL bikini and now she wears an XL.
Since then, she hasn’t given an update about her exact weight.
How much weight has Amy Slaton lost?
Amy’s started her weight loss journey at 406 pounds and since gone onto lose a further 136 pounds.
The mum-of-one has always stated her intention to live a healthier lifestyle and fulfil her dream of having a family.
And after successfully giving birth to her son Gade in 2021, she announced that she is set to welcome her second child with husband Michael Halterman in June 2022.
What has Amy Slaton said about losing weight?
During season three of the show Amy confessed that her development had slowed since welcoming son Gage.
In a clip obtained by People, she can be seen having a check up with Dr Charles Procter Jr as shared his disappointment that she has not been able to shed more pounds.
“I’m nervous, because I don’t think I am where I’m supposed to be in my weight loss goal,” Amy said in an interview.
“I avoid the scale because then I’m focused on the number going down. And if I see it going up, it’s going to make me depressed and wanna eat more. So it’s best not to look at it.”
Amy is then quizzed about her weight loss journey and tells the doctor: “I mean, for a while I was doing bad, but we were remodelling a new house, so you can’t cook at the new house, so you had to do take out.”
Although she weighs in at 275lbs which is under her pregnancy weight – the doctor is disappointed.
“Surgery’s no guarantee that somebody’s going to not only lose the weight but keep the weight off, and we’ve see that,” he adds.
“From what I’m seeing, she hasn’t put any more effort back into her health. We’ve pretty much stalled out at this point.”
