A SAVVY Scot has transformed her boring garden into an outdoor paradise and we are obsessed.
Alex Lawson, from Aberdeen, wanted a fun outdoor space to hang out with friends but didn’t want to break the bank creating her own little haven.
The DIY and Interiors blogger renovated the space by creating a DIY stencil design and did all by herself.
It cost Alex just £60 to give her patio an upgrade and it looks fabulous.
She said: “I’ve absolutely loved creating this haven and can honestly say that any night I spend round the fire pit with friends just makes me think that every penny & hour of slog was worth it.”
Alex first became interested in DIY after she purchased her first home in September 2019.

The savvy DIY fan shares home buying and project tips to her 13,000 followers on her Instagram account – @casalawson and her 53,000 TikTok followers.
Alex created a video showing off how to do the DIY transformation – and it’s nowhere near as complicated as you might think.
She uploaded the step-by-step video to TikTok with the caption ‘Patio Glow Up. Transform your patio for less than £100 with some masonry paint & a stencil’.
In the video, we see Alex using a white paint to paint her paving.
She said: “Use dizzy ducks stencil with a design of your choice and masonry paint to create a tile effect pattern.
“Ensure to lightly tape down with masking tape to make sure the stencil doesn’t move whilst painting.
