Mollie, who posts under the acronym @molliesco, took to TikTok and shared the very clever way she makes Halloween decorations using an Air Fryer.

In the clip, she begins: “If you’ve got an Air Fryer you have to try this.

I picked up some really big oranges and some little mini apples.

“I just started off by slicing them – thinner slices work better for this.

Then you layer them in your Air Fryer – you don’t want them to overlap.”

She goes on to say how the majority of Air Fryers have this dehydrate setting on.

“It’s automatically set to 8 hours but this was done in four.

“I sliced up my apples and put those in as well.”

Revealing the dried out fruit, she explains: “After four hours this is what they look like…they’re literally so pretty.

“I plan on using these for an autumn wreath for our front door, you can put them in cocktails, drinks, or in a jar as a little autumn decor piece.

“They are just adorable – I love them.”

The post has since racked up a whopping 1.3 million views and been inundated with comments from impressed social media users online.

“I do these but leave them on radiators round the house. No extra cost and your house smells of oranges,” wrote one.

A second enthused: “I bet you house smells like autumn dreams.”

In response, Mollie revealed: “It does!!!! A bonus!”

A third admitted: “This is making me want an air fryer even more. I oven roasted mine! I use them for my tree in December.”

Meanwhile, a fourth penned: “Thank you so much. I gave the same air fryer but I was scared to use the dehydrator mode!! Will be experimenting with all sorts.”

Another noted: “Excellent. I’ll be doing this for my Christmas wreath this year.”
