I’m going to find out
I’ve been writing on Medium for two and a half years. In those two and a half years, I’ve made some decent money. I’ve got several of the Medium bonuses in 2021.
I even have one article that made over $700.
That’s all on my other account.
Why would I start over? Good question.
My other account seems to have just…died. No matter what I write and no matter what publication I get articles accepted in, they disappear into the void.
Or a some might call it, the sandbox.
The sandbox is a concept that suggests that your content is being buried by the algorithms. On TikTok you will often hear creators say they’ve been sandboxed when their videos stop reaching people, followers and non-followers alike.
Does Medium have a sandbox?
I don’t know for sure but I’m going to do this as an experiment and see if it makes a difference. I’m going to post on here for a while, build up my followers, get into the Partner Program, and see what happens.
If there is a Medium Sandbox, I’m going to crawl my way out!
