John Stones has won a planning war to keep a 100-foot garden wall with STONE cladding after building it without permission at his £3.4million pad.
Planning chiefs have granted the Man City and England star retrospective planning permission after he fortified his six-bed home with a wall without asking first.
It means the Premier League defender doesn’t have to reduce its height or tear it down.
The centre back increased the size of the wall at his waterside mansion in November last year – and beefed it up with stone cladding.
But the 27-year-old – whose partner Olivia Naylor recently caused a stir after reportedly reposting anti-vaxx messages online – did the work without planning permission.

His swanky waterside bolthole is nestled beside a lake near Knutsford, Cheshire.
Documents, submitted on behalf of Stones, stated: “Proposed retrospective planning application for new 1.25 metre-high boundary wall to front of property.”
He increased the size of the barrier from 75 centimetres – and reinforced it.
Drawings show how the Premier League winner added smooth stone cladding to the wall.

The centre back already has steel entrance gates and two-metre-high steel fencing attached to the wall.
Stones bought the waterside property for £3.4million in 2017, according to the Land Registry.
The stunning pad boasts landscaped gardens, an indoor swimming pool and a sauna.
The plush home contains a polished marble floor and a stylish oak and glass balustrade staircase, plus a bespoke kitchen is fitted with American walnut and hand-painted furniture.

It also boasts a home cinema and a games room with a full-size pool table.
The two-acre site – with six bedrooms and five bathrooms – is just half an hour’s drive from City’s Etihad training ground.
Last month, Olivia reposted a short clip of Orlando Magic basketball star Jonathan Isaacs giving his reasons as to Why he has not had the vaccine, citing natural immunity as his preferred method of protection from the coronavirus.
She boasts an Instagram account with 45,000 followers and it is feared her anti-vaccination message could lead others to opt against getting the jab.
