People wanted to help maintain Bolton NHS memorial garden

The official charity of the Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is looking for people to help maintain its baby memorial garden.

People are wanted to can assist with weeding, planting and cleaning baby plaques.

The announcement was made by Our Bolton NHS Charity as part of National Gardening Week.

People who are able to assist are encouraged to get in touch on BabyGarden@boltonft.nhs.uk.

The memorial garden re-opened in 2017 after it was transformed.

The garden features memorial plaques and a specially-commissioned sculpture.

It features a tree with the parents’ hands clasped in the form of wings and a clear sphere with a butterfly inside. Parents visiting the garden can also leave messages on pebbles in remembrance of their child, placed around the base.
