The incident occurred at approximately 6pm on Sunday, July 31.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Police said: “In this incident a shed in the back garden of an address was set on fire, causing damage to an adjoining fence and property in the garden next door.

“Police would like to speak to anyone who either knows who is responsible, witnessed the fire being set or saw anything suspicious. We would also like to hear from those with CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage of the arson.
“Police would like to warn that setting such fires is dangerous and the consequences could have been much worse.”
