Princess Mary’s former boss and yachtie friend Chris Meehan purchases Palm Beach trophy home Gaelforce for a record $18.7million
New-Zealand property developer Chris Meehan has made a spectacular return to the Sydney market after 15 years.
According to Domain.com.au, Meehan, the former head of Belle Property and was once Princess Mary’s boss, purchased the exquisite Palm Beach trophy home Gaelforce for $18.7 million.
He bought the Spanish mission-style property from jet setters Francesco and Gayle Boglione, who own England’s Petersham Nurseries Cafe.

Gaelforce is considered one of Palm Beach’s most prized homes and features picturesque Pittwater views, a swimming pool, jetty and slipway.
The Boglione siblings gave Gaelforce’s entrance a redesign after they purchased the home off socialite Amanda Nankervis for almost $5.5 million back in 2006.
They listed the home in early March for $19.5m before it was bought by Meehan.

His purchase of the property is the biggest house sale Palm Beach real estate has seen this year.
Chris’ boating interests made him a prime buyer for Gaelforce due to its water front access and private jetty.
The property developer was last seen on the market back in 2006 where he sold the Babworth Estate in Darling Point for $4 million dollars.

Meehan was the head of Belle Property and one-time boss of Princess Mary, who was known as Mary Donaldson at the time, 20 years ago.
She worked as a sales director and a member of the management team of Belle Property.
The pair became close friends, and Meehan has since retained a close camaraderie with the Dutch Royals.
Gaelforce was sold by LJ Hooker’s Peter Robinson and David Edwards, the latter of whom recently listed a luxe Whale Beach Road property owned by Jill Forster, wife of Coca Cola’s former General Counsel George Forster, for $12 million.
