WEYMOUTH Town Council is urging the green-finger people to support and improve a popular garden area.

The Nothe Gardens is one of Weymouth’s most popular gardens – a great place to walk, run and play whilst enjoying stunning views of Portland and Weymouth Harbour in a beautiful setting.

The council is asking for volunteers to join the Friends of Nothe Gardens to help support and improve the gardens.

Cllr Ann Weaving, mayor of Weymouth said: “The Nothe Gardens is a beautiful area in Weymouth, which is Why we’re asking for support from local people to help maintain and support this public space.

“If you’d like to give back to the community and get involved, come along to The Nothe Tavern on Wednesday, June 15 at 4pm.”

Friends groups organise events and activities, fundraise for projects like new play equipment, help keep an eye on the gardens, carry out practical tasks, raise public awareness and more.
