Rebel Wilson, 41, has been making headlines every time she steps out because of her slimmer physique. The Australian actress embarked on what she called a ‘Year of Health’ in 2020 which saw her lose five and a half stone. In a new interview for Apple Fitness+, Rebel revealed how she avoided intense workouts and stuck to a simple form of exercise which was advised by her doctor.
She said: “The doctor said to me, ‘Rebel, the best way for you to lose unwanted body fat is just simply walking’.
“‘Doesn’t have to be high-intensity, doesn’t have to be uphill, just moderate walking an hour a day.
“’And if you can do that, for you, for your body type, it’s, like, the best way to lose unwanted body fat.’”
Walking, combined with a healthier diet has seen Rebel lose five and a half stone.

The actress went on to say she has always been a “bit of a late developer” and wishes she “tried when I was 30, not 40”.
“But everybody’s journey is different, and it’s not a race or competition,” Rebel told InStyle.
“I have a natural empathy for anyone who struggles with weight issues because that’s something I’ve always struggled with.”
Rebel also had some advice for others who find themselves in a similar situation: “Anyone can go on walks and drink more water and do little, consistent things that’ll improve their lives.”
She had previously attended the centre in 2019 and felt going back would help her weight loss journey.
As for what foods Rebel ate to aid weight loss, she revealed her diet during an Instagram Live in 2020.
Rebel told fans she follows a high protein diet, drinks lots of water and tries to stay under 1,500 calories a day.
High amounts of protein helps you feel full, can improve metabolism, and because protein has a lower energy density than fat at four calories per gram of food, it means fewer calories are consumed.
