A Scottish teacher who admitted having sex with a pupil in his home exchanged intimate pictures with her via email and the online learning platform Glow, a hearing has been told.
Ross Spittal, 31, a former maths teacher from Inveralmond Community High School in West Lothian, became involved with the S6 pupil, who is believed to have been 18 at the time.
The relationship was exposed when Spittal’s partner at the time, Kim Smyth, found more than 800 emails between the two on a shared computer.
Spittal has admitted to engaging in a sexual relationship with the pupil, with whom he is now believed to be in a relationship, but has argued that he remains fit to teach.
