Marc told me this on our first consultation call recently. He has lost 15lbs so far, but he’s stuck at his current weight.

The answer that I gave Marc shocked him. Because look, the reason you’re stuck at losing weight is not because of:

1. Hormones
2. Genetics
3. Or a broken metabolism

Too often we think we’re on a plateau when in reality, we’re still losing weight — or haven’t lost any weight at all.

You must understand this: Your weight loss journey lives and dies by the data you gather.

You simply can not make accurate decisions if you have flawed data or no data at all. If you have no data or inaccurate data, you will make short-term, emotional decisions that will make you run in a circle.

Most people trying to lose weight, unfortunately, find themselves in that situation. They lack clarity and certainty — and due to that their weight loss journey is often over before it has even started.

Once you’ve determined that you’re in an actual weight loss plateau, you must:

Most people starve themselves for weeks on end hoping to lose their weight as fast as possible. This is more self-flagellation than an actual, effective strategy.

There’s a big difference between STARVING yourself — or dealing with some cravings due to the habit change.

The former is a recipe for disaster. The latter is bearable and a necessary ingredient for fat loss.
