Fans have been all over Louise recently after she suggested she was happy to return to BBC Breakfast after losing her spot on I’m a Celebrity.
Programme editor Richard Frediani shared a job post on Twitter, prompting a reaction from Louise.
Richard wrote: “Join the No. 1 morning show in the UK – #BBCBreakfast is looking for a talented journalist to join its award winning team. Ideas and imagination from an incredible team – can you be part of it?”
The tweet included a link to the job post and a picture of Sally Nugent and co-host Dan Walker sitting on the iconic red sofa.
Adil Ray brought up the snub, saying: “We noticed that your first interview was here instead of BBC, that’s very telling isn’t it.”
Louise said: “I’m going to be in terrible trouble, I expect my former boss will say that’s it’s over there.”
Kate Garraway then joked that the former BBC Breakfast host might be after her role.
Kate said: “You know what people are going to say, you’re here on GMB and you were adored on BBC. Are you thinking of making the move? Are you thinking of replacing me?”
