A toddler dipped his hands in bright red paint and spread it throughout the house as his family watched Home Alone 2.
Little Kody Hanham sneaked away during the festive flick, broke into his brother’s room and took a tub of the acrylic paint out of a drawer.
And in less than five minutes he dipped his hands in it and spread it throughout mum Melanie and dad Ashley Hanham’s house.
Melanie, 39, said: “We were all downstairs watching Home Alone 2, Kody went up to his 10-year-old brother’s room, found a random tube of red acrylic paint in his drawer and basically went to work.

“I went out to see what he was up to and he showed me these red hands.
“I just put my hands over my mouth and was like “Please God, no!”
Melanie, who works for the family roofing business, added: “I walked up the stairs, following the red hand prints all along the stairs and in his brother’s room.
“There was loads on the carpet too. I took photos to remember the incident and then spent an hour scrubbing.

“It’s still not all off, his brother now has pink-tinged carpet and we will have to repaint the walls.”
Kody, who is two-and-a-half, was the pride of siblings Caden, 16, Tyler, 10, and Lola six.
The family, from Chepstow, Wales, decided that one of the rooms Kody had painted was so badly affected, they would simply re-do one of the walls as a feature wall.

Melanie said she was now laughing about the incident, adding: “I’ve got the paint off of the walls now but some places it’s worn through to the plaster.
“None of my others were like this. Kody baffles me.”
