When did we grow out of imagination?
One of my favourite kids movies is ‘The Emperor’s New Groove’.
As the story goes, Emperor Kuzco — who is a complete narcissistic brat — wants to build a waterpark in a nearby village, thereby displacing lovable residents, Pacha and his cute family. Kuzco’s ex-2IC, Yzma, whom he recently fired, wants revenge and plans to kill Kuzco. She uses her right-hand-man, Kronk to poison the Emp.
Kronk — hilariously voiced by Patrick Warburton — accidentally gives Kuzco the wrong vile, the potion turning him into a Llama rather than ending him.
Charged with disposing of Kuzco, Kronk bags him and takes off to throw him into a river. Taking a backroad, midnight route to the river, Kronk sings his own theme music to himself to get the job done.
