Tyson Fury has kindly offered Derek Chisora a place to stay after his former rival said he would ‘bet his house’ on a Dillian Whyte win.
The Gypsy King KOd his challenger on Saturday night at Wembley Stadium, with a colossal uppercut bringing an end to the highly anticipated bout in round six.
Prior to the fight, Chisora said on talkSPORT this week: “I’m willing to put my house on it.
“I’m willing to put my house on Dillian Whyte knocking Tyson Fury out.
“Look at your faces in the studio! Tyson is my mate and I know he’s listening – Tyson, you’re going to get knocked out.”
And on fight night, he made a jokey video with Joseph Parker in which they said they’d each bet their houses on the result.
In reaction, Fury said at his post-fight press conference: “Derek Chisora’s now homeless, sorry to everybody.
“He lost his house to Joseph Parker, so unlucky.
“And Derek – I have got a house next to my house in Morecambe, you are welcome anytime my brother.
“But the moral to the story is never bet your house on something unless you’re one million per cent sure.
“You can never be sure in the heavyweight division.
“Now he’s homeless, good luck to him.”
Chisora took it in good spirits, though, catching up with Parker later on and asking: “Joseph, when do you want to come and take the house?”
When he replied ‘tonight’, Chisora quipped: “You can have the house, but it’s my land, so you have to pay the bills,” which brought about laughter from both of them.
