KIND-hearted staff at Webbs Garden Centre have donated thousands of gifts to make sure disadvantaged youngsters have a present to open on Christmas Day.
The firm has donated 16,000 presents to Mission Christmas, a festive appeal run by the national charity Cash For Kids.
The mission aims to make sure every child has a present to open on Christmas morning, as many young people from families living in poverty are at risk of waking up to nothing.
John Stratton, from Cash for Kids, said: “In the current climate, it has been particularly difficult to secure enough toys to ensure that all the families we support don’t go empty handed this Christmas.
“We were therefore delighted when Webbs Garden Centres came forward with this very generous offer.”
The gifts donated by Webbs will be distributed families in and around Worcestershire, as well to children across the Midlands. The toys will even be making their way to children as far away as South Yorkshire.
Ed Webb, founder of Webb’s Garden Centres, said: “We are only too glad to be able to help ensure that some of the more disadvantaged children in our communities receive a gift on Christmas Day and we hope it goes a small way to improving their festive season.”
Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity whose aim is to improve the lives of children and young people in the community who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs.
They believe that all children should be able to express their individuality, achieve their potential and live life to the full.
Webbs Garden Centre can be found in Hagley, Wychbold and Cheltenham.
