Police are appealing for witnesses following an accident in which a Volkswagen Golf flipped on to its roof and a woman ended up in a front garden.

At around 11.34pm on Saturday the silver Golf first collided with a parked Vauxhall Corsa, causing damage.

It also damaged a Skoda Fabia which was parked.

The Golf then flipped onto its roof and blocked one lane of the Cowley Road.

A woman was found in a front garden and is believed to have been an occupant in the car.

She was taken to hospital for treatment and her injuries are not believed to be serious.

It is thought there may have been another occupant but they have not yet been traced.

Investigating officer, PC David Burleigh, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit based at Abingdon, said: “We are appealing for witnesses to this incident.

“At the time the Cowley Road would have been busy with people walking and also other cars driving along the road.

“If anyone witnessed this collision or has dash camera footage of the incident we would ask them to please come forward and contact Thames Valley Police on 101 or report online quoting reference 43210526219.

“Or if you wish to report 100% anonymously you can so by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
