A NEW community garden will host an open day in a bid to offer residents a tranquil space to relax.
The garden at Kennedy Way Medical Centre in Clacton boasts raised beds, grassed areas with benches, and a men’s shed, all aimed at providing a calming space for people to enjoy.
The place came to exist as a result of a collaboration between the North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group and site owners NHS Property Services.
Community Voluntary Services Tendring are also on board with the project and will be hosting the open day event tomorrow (November 18) at the garden from 12pm to 2 pm.
Sharon Alexander, chief officer at CVS Tendring, said: “Firstly, I’d like to give a big thank you to the Holland Residents Association for their kind donation toward the garden.
“We’re really excited to show everyone this beautiful space and hopefully find some green-fingered residents to get involved at the same time.
“Please pop along to meet the team, enjoy the refreshments, and find out more about this lovely initiative; it’s a great way to increase your fitness and meet new friends.”
